We Will Heal With Quiet Exhalations

Lotus February Challenge Lauri Jean Crowe URL PendantWe Will Heal With Quiet Exhalations

Today we will pause. We will take five breaths.
One for the body, one for the mind and one for the spirit.
Today we will quiet. We will take five breaths.
One for the heart and one for the soul.
Today we will heal with quiet exhalations
Whispers to the water, petals to the wind, roots secure in the mud.
Today they will stop. They will be silent.
One who lies, one who doubts and one who spoils.
Today they will stop. They will go unheard.
One who bitches, one who moans.
Today we will heal with closed eyes and silence
Listening to our hearts, beating in our chests, rattling in our ribs.
Tomorrow we will pause. We will take five breaths.
One for the body, one for the mind and one for the spirit.
Tomorrow we will quiet. We will take five breaths.
One for the heart and one for the soul.
Tomorrow we will heal with quiet exhalations
Whispers to the water, petals to the wind, roots secure in the mud.
Tomorrow we will pause. We will take five breaths.
We will remember to be quiet and endure the little deaths.

Products used in the creation of this little bit of joy found (will take you to Amazon):

I used pre-drilled glass pendant tile rectangles that I had purchased from Beadaholique a while ago. It looks like they only offer the blank glass pendant tiles you add a bail to at the moment.

Russian Green Amazonite is the gemstone bead at the top.  AfricaGemsUSA  is a company I have had success with in terms of consistency and quality:

Judikins Diamond Glaze is my favorite adhesive and sealant to use with glass tile art wearables. I usually get it in the 2 ounce because it is easy to handle with small detail work and that way there is very little waste.

That is such a beautiful, releasing poem. And for me, very timely that I’ve just read it. When I am facing emotional challenges, it’s like a vortex of thoughts in my mind, accelerating faster than I can control, and sometimes feels like they’ll sweep me away or wipe me out. I forget to stop and just breathe in calmness and let go of the struggle so the ‘voices’ can rest and I can sanely move through whatever I’m dealing with. Would it be okay if I copied it out and tucked it into y journal.. with your name on it of course 🙂

Absolutely feel free to tuck the poem in your journal. I am happy that my words have touched you in a way you want to hold them close. For the past year with my own health struggles, I have found that five breaths – if I can just get them – help me to reset. Thank you for honoring my words with your own breath dlorenp. 🙂
